Turn off IPhone 8 Plus with cracked screen

I need to turn off my phone which screen is not responsive due to major damage on screen. Is there away to shutdown the device with a sequence of buttons? Not a restart, but complete shutdown.

If your iPhone screen is semi responsive near the top of the screen then you can it down by:

(1) pressing and holding the side power button on right side of iPhone till you get message "slide to power off"

(2) then swipe (if your iPhone is semi responsive in that area) the slider control to power off the iPhone
