My dads iPhone 6s just blacked out all of a sudden!

I restarted it som times but the screen is still black. The screen shows up for under a second and it has only done that 3-4 times in the past 6 hours and will probably only show then you touch it.

It sounds like a screen defective internal connection, but it's impossible to judge that issue remotely.
