I have downloaded garageband to do some basic jam, but there won't be any software instruments available on the menu. Nothing will show on instrument list nor on the "sound library" menu so I can't even download any sounds been afford. I would appreciate your help.
Are you having a software instrument track selected, when you try to select a software instrument?
Can you at least create a software instrument track from the menu "Track > New Track", then select the green Software Instrument Track?
This should automatically open the library panel with the Software Instrument patches as shown to the left.
Are you saying that the sound library is empty, when you select a software instrument track?

the main library should be here:
HD/Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Instrument Library/Track Settings/Software

I reinstalled sound library few times already, it still doesn't work, and no other options are available.

I found it but no track setting
Also, I wasn't able to open up any of the software instrument from the sampler instrument folder, no error code provided but saying "The file couldn't be opened".
The problem is that I cant select that section, the only possible option is audio with guitar.
No software instrument available.
