Malware affecting various applications on MacBook Pro

Malware has affected my MacBook Pro. I am having problems with Mail, Apple Music, and Safari, at the very least. I think this was connected with my download of a bogus Adobe Flash Player, which contained something called Mac Cleaner Pro. I have since excised the latter from my system, but problems persist. Safari works fine for a while, but then freezes up. No websites will load. All of my mail accounts carry the exclamation point in triangle: cannot reach server. And messages cannot be sent: several messages sit in my OUTBOX for over a week now. Apple music will not play content from Apple Music. At first it would not play anything, until I followed instructions for a fix online to change the DNS. Now my own content will play, but nothing from Apple Music will. Anyone else experiencing such problems?

Try downloading and running Malwarebytes. If Malwarebytes does not fix the problems post an Etrecheck report.
