I need to update my MacBook Pro from 10.11 to 10.12 in order to install Microsoft office. how do I upgrade to 10.12?

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and depending on which MacBook Pro model you have, download High Sierra or Mojave from the Mac App Store. If your computer doesn't meet the requirements for either OS, use an older version of Office or an alternative product.
