Apple is Deleting Movies

I tried to watch a movie I purchased, yes purchased, as In bought, through my Apple TV. “Content no longer available.” How do I save my purchases?

Do I have to use an external drive hooked up to my computer and stream it from there through the Apple TV? (Clunky or what?). Will the HD be affected?

Any thoughts on the size of external hard drive I will need for about 40 movies and a dozen tv series? Some which I couldn’t find elsewhere. I won’t be purchasing anymore through Apple.

If films are being removed from your country's store it's the rights-holders who are removing them, not Apple.

You can download these that are still in the store and add them to your backup of your purchases, and stream them from the computer to the Apple TV. Obviously your downloaded copies will not be affected if they are removed from the store.

The size of the drive will depend upon whether they are SD or HD, length of the programs and films, number of episodes in the series.
