Apply 15-inch MacBook Pro Battery Recall Program

I found that the battery in mac pro is swollen and searched solution in internet. The apple support recall program: https://support.apple.com/en-vn/15-inch-macbook-pro-battery-recall. Although my labtop is eligible to recall program when I test the serial. However, local Authorized Support Center denied to support me. They said that it is not eligible because my receipt is not from origin provider. Do this recall is real or it's only advertising campaign in order to keep good image from customer?
