I used to have the DSTV app in my iPhone, DSTV recently upgraded their app now I cannot find the new upgrade in my AppStore, DSTV are saying it’s because I do not have a Nigerian iCloud, is this possible? I have changed my location to Nigeria but this has made no difference..
What is important is the country where you live, and which is therefore the country on your iTunes account, and whether their app is that country's App Store (you cannot use the Nigerian store unless you live in Nigeria).

Put your real country and address on the account : Change your Apple ID country or region - Apple Support
What 'phone setting' ? As I said, the important thing is the country on the iTunes account, if you live in Nigeria you should obviously be using the Nigeria store.
I do live in Nigeria, my phone setting is Nigeria but I still cannot access the MyDstv app. My apple account was originally registered in UK, does that mean I can’t access Apps in Nigeria?
Although I live in Nigeria I guess my iTunes account is UK based
