Who is more laughable? Me that is complaining about a bad phone or you denying that you have nothing to do with apple but still defending them.

During the press conference of Steve Jobs, he already said that an American company(Apple) currently leads the smartphone industry therefore people should be grateful and understanding if there are flaws rather than having a Korean company leading the industry.
Also, Steve Jobs explicitly told every Iphone 4 user "avoid holding it that way".

The problem with you people defending Apple, everything that you say are speculations and not one video shows proof of all the things that you guys are trying to defend.

Before you reply and babble, please prove that Iphone 4 does not have a problem. Post it in Youtube.

After having enough time to test the latest Beta on two units I can conclude that the major issue is resolved for the most part. There is a visual cue as well when the phone is on call you notice a faint red spherical light emitting from inside the slot above the ear speaker.

Michael Empire please post of pic of the latest version of xcode running on your screen and a screenshot of one of the numerous units you have tested. Otherwise I have doubts whether you are Beta testing.

I see two issues here....

1. I think the proximity sensor is the same in all phones, it's just that the majority of users have no problem interacting with their phones.

2. There allegation that there are stacks of YouTube videos showing faulty sensors is pure bullsh!t. There are stacks of videos showing a sensor working in a different manner to the previous model, but not a single video showing it actually being faulty.

This is another example of how greedy is Apple.
Someone is selling a remedy app for the the Proximity Sensor problem, and still, Apple ask for their share.

Let me know how this works out. Maybe I will go and get another one. At least it feels a little cleaner and slightly more sophisticated than finishing a call and seeing my calculator screen numbers all jumbled up!
