Manage Payments Page (AppleID Account) Won't allow new payment method

My only payment method, a credit card, has expired. I need to add the new card that was just sent to me. It insists that the existing card requires verification before progressing; this is impossible as the card is expired. After numerous attempts, I have learned that the Manage Payments page will *not* allow me to:

*Update existing info to reflect the new card,

*Remove the existing payment method and replace it with new card (says the Family Organizer must have at least one verified payment method, which it already doesn't as the existing card is expired),

*Simply add a second payment method (by clicking on Add Payments button),

*Add funds directly to my AppleID account via any other method.

How do I add a secondary payment method in (my new card) and delete the expired card?

Try adding the new card and removing the old one via https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage

If that also doesn't work contact iTunes Support and see if they can help you do it :  http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww  (click on your country's flag, the country where you live, and which is therefore the country on the account ; click on Contact Support towards the top right ; click on Get Help under 'Talk To Us’)
