iPhone S4 latest IOS update

After updating recent IOS software, my iPhone S4 is not functioning. It gets frozen and update/restart in iTune didn't do anything either; it gives an "unknown error" message. Anyone had that problem?

There is no iPhone S4. There is an iPhone 4S, however it has not be eligible for a software update for quite some time now. What exactly were you trying to do?

The OP is probably referring to the iOS 9.3.6 update that was released for the 4s a couple weeks back.
