I have lost my documents

I recently changed my Apple ID, but now I enter Pages in my iPad and many documents that were very important to me are gone, so how can I get them back?

I don’t believe these were backed up and my iCloud is full, so I don’t know if they got backed up there or not. Is there a way to recover these documents that just mysteriously disappeared from my ipad? Another issue I have, which may be related, is my ipad forgets my Apple ID regularly and when I open up my ipad after not using it for a while, it regularly (not all the time) asks for me to sign in with my Apple ID. It sometimes does this on my iPhone 7 also. I usually don’t sign in with my Apple ID because it will just ask me again next time, so it seems pointless.

Did you follow these procedures:

If you simply created another ID, your apps/purchases/whatever remain with the ID that created them.
