airplane mode

What do I do to get my airplane mode to stop calls coming in? My phone has started to ring with incoming calls whether or not I am in airplane mode. The cute little plane is up in the corner of the screen, as it always was, and the orange circle is on the airplane mode line, but the phone seems to have forgotten how to disconnect what it is supposed to be disconnecting.

If you turn on Airplane mode, then enable WiFi and your carrier supports WiFi calling and you have enabled it, then you will get calls over WiFi.

Use Do Not Disturb to suppress call alerts if that's the case.

To add, the control panel will “remember” that you’ve done that too. So if you use control panel again to enter airplane mode, it will not turn off WiFi, just cellular.

If your then, in airplane mode on control panel, disable WiFi, then turn off airplane mode, it will remember that too. Subsequent use of airplane mode will then disable both cellular and WiFi radios (unless you again enable WiFi while in airplane mode, resetting the first scenario into memory).
