My MacBook Air 2017 has a MagSafe2 port as a charger from the wall. However how can I charge it on plane? All my battery packs have USB out. Can I get a USB-C to Thunderbolt2 Adapter cable to charge over that?

Some airlines (Delta as an example) do have what they call "power ports" which, I am told, are just like wall electrical plugs, so you should just be able to use your regular charger.
That may work on a MacBook with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C). But the 2017 MacBook Air doesn't have USB-C.
I've looked it up a bit, and it doesn't seem possible to charge your (or mine) 2017 Air through the Thunderbolt port.
