Hi there CarolMyron,
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. I understand you’re having issues restoring data to another iPhone because of a corrupt iCloud backup. I’ll be happy to help with this.
If a backup is found to be corrupt, you won’t be able to use it but there are other options for transferring your data.
First, check for another iOS backup using the steps from the following link. You may have another recent backup you can use:
Locate backups of your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
If you don’t have another backup you can use, you may want to see if you can use the Quick Start method to transfer your data to your other iPhone. This link has more info on how to do this:
Best wishes.
There is no way to remove a file from an iOS backup. The entire backup is corrupt and no longer usable. At this point, your best option is either locate a different backup or transfer the data using Quick Start. You can find the steps to both of these options from the previous response.
Take Care.
thank you for the reply. I believe that it could be the data on my existing iPhones. If I transfer all the data, it could corrupt the new iPhone. Is there a way to locate the corrupt file?.
