No. The Apple warranty does not cover damage.

If instead you purchased Apple Care Plus it will offer partial coverage for that.

No. That's accidental damage, which pretty much no warranty would cover. However, if you get it replaced by Apple or an AASP, the replacement screen assembly would still be covered under the remainder of the warranty or 90 days - whichever is longer.
