Does the limited warranty cover screen scratches and also cracked screens?

No. Scratches and screen cracks are considered Accidental Damage and are not covered by the standard Apple Warranty.

Generally no if those are a matter of accident or environmental conditions. Occasionally cracked glass is a result of a covered defect. Scratches are almost universally seen as accidental damage.
