Apple Card Signup Error

I received the Apple Card invite email, and when I try and actually perform the signup, I receive an error:

This happens each each time I click continue. If I go to the Wallet app itself and click the “+” the option for the Apple Card is not available (I can only get to the above area if clicking “Apply Now” in the invite email).

My guess is that there is some disconnect with the invite and my Apple ID, but I have no idea how to verify, and there is no option to contact anyone from Apple support.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
