Totally excited to get early access to Apple Card but it keeps telling me Apple Pay services are currently unavailable. Obviously there has been this kind of issue even before Apple Card came live. Is there a way to fix or there is just too much traffic from people getting access to Apple Card?

Go to settings>general>software update and make sure you are using the latest update and then make sure your region is set correctly for your Apple ID and on your phone.

I confirmed your device Language and Region has to be set to United States. Mine was set to Australia as I prefer the date and time formats. I also had to change the region on my Apple Watch to add the card on there. All working now!
I had issues, until I restarted my iPhone.. As soon as it restarted, I was able to apply and get my card setup.
I adjust my region to the US and it worked! But i only have my US passport as my ID and it’s not going through...
Yeah I spoke to Apple support and a passport cannot be proof of ID for now and she isn’t sure when it would be accepted. Guess I’ll have to get my DL first
A passport is not usable to verify your ID.
It is 9/13 and my phone still says that. What gives?
