Text notification

All of a sudden I am not hearing a text notification on my iphone 6plus from the person who texts me the most. I can hear notications from other texts. I noticed that the blue dot by the text message in the text message list is not fully blue like othe texts received. All updates are current.

Random "muted" notifications for texts on iPhone Frequently I fail to get a notification for a new text message. I do not have anyone deliberately "muted". It is random and affects all senders. It only happens when the phone is off. If I have messages open I get the notification. I'm using iOS version 16.4.1(a).

No iPhone SMS Notification Sound I do not get a notification sound for SMS texts, specifically automated texts. I do get a visual notification, just no alert sound. This is very specific to SMS texts. All other alert sounds work fine including iMessage alerts, i.e. any messages from iPhones. There are no other symptoms. I cannot find any settings that are unique to SMS/MMS. I've had this problem forever (at least a year) through multiple reboots and iOS version upgrades. I'm looking for any ideas!

From the main screen in Messages, find the conversation for which you're not getting the notifications. Put your finger on it and pull to the left. Tap "Show Alerts".
