Touch option doesn't work

When I set up my replacement phone @ the Verizon store, I also set up with the additional option to use touch. However it has not worked since I walked out the store. My finger doesn’t open anything. I need assistance to get this option to work or either be remove off my login options. THANKS JANNETTE

why did i get an "unable to use touch id" prompt? how can i fix it or how much would this cost to fix so i woke up today to a "unable to use touch id" prompt im worried bc this is my only phone and ive got lot of important stuff to do my phone is cracked and kinda dirty so thats could be a reason why its not working.

Per the associate who assisted me at the verizon store advised me it was a successful scan
