New Apple Card & Apple Watch

I have the new Apple card, it's not available as an option to add in the Apple Watch wallet I already contacted Apple Card support and they had me follow all the normal steps but it's not appearing as an option to add :(

I somewhat recall that I got a popup to add my new card when it first activated on iphone but I did not have my Apple Watch on me at the time :(

I should mention that I have the 1st (gen.) Apple Watch A1554 running 4.2.2

I was told to contact Apple Support but trying here first.
