Older Version of iTunes cannot be removed .... Help....

After removing everything in my Windows XP Pro SP3 station that's related to iTunes (Quicktime, Bonjour, apple software)etc, plus removing registry keys (which we all know is the last thing you want to do). I'm still getting this message (Older Version of iTunes cannot be removed).

How can I install the latest iTunes version (9.2)?

Ive tried 4 plus times and no success.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

PS: I did have everything working with my iPod and iPad, with this latest version.

This list of applw SW to be removed all have problems with the uninstaller. This is win XP sp2. Bounjour uninstaller is looking for a script on a wrong drive letter. Apple software update is looking for some appleupdate.msi in a temp dir that no longer exists.

There needs to be a registry cleaner produced by apple to clean this all up so I can get quick time working again. A few sites I go to cause my browser to pop up dialogs saying quick time is hung or not functioning.

How about a list of registry keys to remove? A regedit script?

tnx curt

(My subscriptions to threads end after 15 days with no activity, so I'll tend not to see posts in old threads. Usually best to start a new thread.)

When I ran Windows Installer Cleaner; I had no iTunes enry. Howerver my top entry had (All Users) http://7.0.2.16. I'm not sure this is the entry to remove. Is it??

A month late, but yes 7.0.2.16 is an iTunes version number. So that would be (would have been?) the previous version of iTunes the installer was complaining about.

When my memory fails me as to what is an iTunes version number and what is not, I usually try a search of the iTunes for Windows category with restrict by date set to all. Usually, someone will have been accidentally kind enough to have cited all four numbers for the iTunes version.
