So I’ve had this phone since January and just this past week it started saying, “this device have been blocked from network use”. What does that mean?

That usually means it’s been blacklisted because it was reported lost or stolen.
Where did you get the phone?
Recycle it and buy a new phone. That one is useless.

Talk to whoever gave it to you. If they were the ones who originally purchased it and they reneged on their contract, their carrier probably blacklisted it.
