deleting photos from hard drive

I need to make space on muy internal iMac hard drive. Does deleting them there also remove them from my time machine backup and separate external photo file backup? I dont want to lose them. Also- occasionally I am instructred to do a new Time Machine backup. This would mean I would lose precious ones and therefore the photos from those backups. Whats the solution?

It is best to keep your whole iPhoto/Photos Library together and move it to an external drive

Plus you can move your whole iTunes Library to an external drive in pretty much the same manner.

Personally if I needed more space, I would move my iTunes Library to an external drive instead of my iPhoto/Photos Libraries.

If they have been backed up already on Time Machine they will stay there for some time. However you should get an external HD and move your photos library there along with your music and movies. This is an old practice experienced users have been doing for years, it saves space on the internal drive and Time Machine will backup the External Hard Disk too.
