New iPad and family sharing

I purchased a new iPad and want to sync it with my iPhone.

If you are using the same Apple ID on both devices and it's just you and your iPhone/iPad, you don't need family sharing. You simply need to go to Settings > Your Name, iCloud, Apple ID, iTunes & App Store > iCloud > Turn on all the services you want to sync across your devices.
