Apple ID and password not being recognized by iTunes or App Store

Hi! I just got an iPhone 7 (sick upgrade from my 5) and my Apple ID and password get me logged into my phone but this correct combination is not getting me into my iTunes or App Store so I am unable to download apps or activate iMessages or FaceTime. I type in my username and password and it looks like everything is okay except it still says "Sign in." I have even tried entering an incorrect password just to see what happens and I get the verification failed message. Can someone offer me some suggestions, thank you!!!

It looks like you might have used a different AppleID for iTunes Store and AppStore. Do you still have the old iPhone 5?


If you do go to Settings»iTunes and App Store to see which AppleID was used. Do the same for Messages/FaceTime.


Every app on your phone remembers which AppleID was used to download/install it. You must use the same one to re-download and update.
