Wes widget since upgrade to 12.4

My news widget on IPad no longer has headlines or listing of news items on the swipe right widget since upgrading to 12.4. It only says to “Read stories in Apple News”. How do I get the headlines back?

I found an answer, I deleted News from my widget and deleted the app. Then I again downloaded both. Up popped my widget headlines. Problem solved.

On iOS 12.4 on my iPad, I get Top Stories on the top of the Widget. When you open the widgets page, on News, to the right of the top, do you see Show More? If you do, tap it and the next time you open the widgets view, it should show Top Stories.
