Sync Historic Runs stored in Activity app with Nike Run Club

I have an Apple Watch 4 and iPhone with iOS 12.4 using Nike Run Club. I have used the Watch with previous runs and I can see these runs in Activity apps on both the iPhone and the Watch. I just installed Nike Run Club and I would like to see my historic runs from previous months in the Nike app but I can't see these, I have put sharing all info with Nike Run Club in my settings. Is it that Nike Run Club can only store info from runs while and when it is installed on the Watch, so can it not "import" my previous runs that are stored in Activity?
