Stolen iPhone not showing in Find My iPhone

my phone was stolen. After a couple of days I checked in Find My iPhone, and it was not on the list of devices. If the thieves managed to get into my phone, it can be pretty bad. Any suggestions?

thanks!

For iCloud Find My iPhone to "see" your iPhone, it has to be

  1. Enabled on the iPhone before it was lost
  2. Powered on, AND
  3. Connected to a wifi
