Why can’t i use the “cover to mute” function? Even when it is turned on on my watch app on my phone. And is the volume always in the the 3/4 mark? After i adjust it in my phone it will automatically go down to the 3/4 mark. Recently just bought my apple watch series 4 nike plus 44mm non cellular version. Please get back to me ASAP!! Thanks!

Double check your settings....To silence an alert or notification as it sounds, rest your palm on the display for at least three seconds or until you feel a tap. If it doesn't work, see if the Cover to Mutesetting is on: On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, go to the My Watch tab, then tap Sounds & Haptics. Make sure your iPhone and Watch have the latest software updates. Finally, if you still have a problem, reset your Watch by pressing in the crown and side button until you see the Apple logo, then release both.
i have done all that beforehand. Both of my devices have been updated to the latest software. I tried resetting the apple watch too! But the problem seems to still persist. Is there any other ways that could maybe solve this problem?
