Selfie stick says “be sure volume key of iPhone can take pictures.” Also Says “may have to set volume key to take pictures.” Also says “to use selfie stick use the headphone cable to touch off the photo button. “ QUESTION: what is volume key and why are headphone cables needed to take photo? Also can I use same selfie stick fore iPhone 8 as a 10 XR?

Volume key = volume buttons on the side of the phone.

As for the features of the particular selfie stick, for that you'd need to contact the manufacturer.

Apple doesn't make a selfie stick.

Any questions about selfie sticks need to be addressed to the manufacturer of such a device.
