bypass iPad 2 activation lock

I bought a iPad 2 from a Facebook Marketplace group. I used Paypal to pay for it. I am getting no where as far as getting them (seller) to release it from their account.

Is it possible to get Apple to reset it if I can show receipt? If not I now own a $50.00 brick

Activation lock Long story short I purchased an iPad from someone and don’t have access to it because they haven’t removed it from their iCloud account. I’ve tried contacting them but they said that it wasn’t theirs and that they just buy and sell them. The iPad isn’t blacklisted and it’s carrier unlocked but I can’t use it. Please tell me theirs something I can do to gain access to the iPad I paid for. Or am I completely screwed and out of $200 and an iPad. What do I do?

Apple won't help you, only the person whose account it's locked to can potentially help you. See if you can get a refund.
