New phone stuck in updating icloud
Trying to set up new XR iphone, it has been updating from icloud for hours? What do I need to do?

If it is doing the initial sync and you have a lot of data in iCloud, that may be normal. The photos sync is very, very slow. I would let it run overnight to see if it finishes.
If necessary, do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.
