Scanning new photos in people’s album

Hello, I have about 40k photos and have 648 photos remaining to scan. How do I force it to scan the remaining?

I’m sorry, but I don’t actively use this feature myself, so I don't know what to suggest. Is there anything in here that would help?

I have current photos of people that are in my photos but when I go to the people album its not finding them and says there are no additional photos of that person even though there are.

What do you mean by scan? Scan where and by what means? Are you trying to upload to iCloud Photos?
