Headphones not working on iPhone

My headphones, plugged into the headphone jack to lightning port adapter, have stopped working, and instead produce a lot static noise when playing any media.

headphones no longer work Suddenly all wired headphones have stopped working. Three different pairs on three different iPhones, including a brand new 14 plus. a pop up appears saying ‘is this lightning adapter connecting a pair of headphones’. It doesn’t matter whether you click Headphones or Other Device, no sound comes out. Anyone else experienced or know how to fix? Thanks

my headphones that plug-in stopped working. All of a sudden, my plug-in headphones on my iPad stopped working. What do I do to fix it?
