Just logged into this site from iMac. Have 2step auth turned on so message popped up on my iPhone asking if I was in Pocatello Idaho? I am near Dallas Texas at least hundreds of miles away but I said yes as it was me. Weird. Ever seen that? Could it be my ISP? They cover from Texas out many states west.

However, if you ever see a notification that your Apple ID is being used to sign in on a new device and you're not the one signing in, tap Don’t Allow to block the sign in attempt.

Yes, and yes.
The only justification for concern would be receiving a 2FA authentication request when you're not expecting one.
Comcast keeps playing with my external major router number. It was local for a long time (showing local map on 2-step), and then last fall, my two-step map started showing Mt. Laurel, NJ. Then it switched back to local (original Network number), and then in the last two months, it is using a network number that is an hour distant on the map.
