Possible Trojan Horse

I get an update banner that appears to be from Logitech. It suggests I update my Logitech Options. I suspect it has infected my MacBook Pro with a Trojan Horse. Is this a known problem, and if so, how do I remove it safely?

Malware - commonupdater Hello, I recently tried to download an online game to play on my MacBook. Unfortunately it did not work and something called 'commonupdater' downloaded with it. It seems to control the internet (redirects you away from google search engine, creates a ghost safari page on my bottom line of open apps). I moved the app to trash, but it has reappeared a few weeks later. Is there any safe programme that can scan my macOS for any dangerous malware? Thanks for any advice!

banner notification: detection TRO This started not to long ago receiving a banner notification on IMAC of yellow triangle with red exclamation "Detected: Trojan" followed by a number and "Mac scan required"; however if I go to the systems icon or scan my computer with virus scan nothing shows up infected. It appears to be a lure to tap into but any thoughts on how to get rid of it

If you are running any Logitech devices go directly to the Logitech site and initiate the download of any available updates for your devices.
