Apple TV app on Samsung not syncing correctly

Hi all

My Samsung TV has the Apple TV app, which is great but I am finding that I am not getting all of my 'watch next' shows on there.

For example, it shows all of my purchased content in 'Watch Next' but it doesn't show me the free-to-air content that I am subscribed to from iView and SBS On Demand. This means if I go to my Apple TV app on my mobile or on my actual Apple TV I get a different 'Watch Next' list than on my Samsung TV.

Is there any way to fix this?

The Apple TV App on smart TV is not able to/allowed to interact with other services on that device, unlike on Apple’s own OS. That means that on a smart TV, the Apple TV App is not able to retrieve some Watch Next content list or activate such content in a matching app. On smart TV, the Apple TV App doesn’t get to do that all-in-one hub functionality. For that, one would need the Apple TV set top box.
