Apple Watch Unpairing Infinite Loop

Every time I try to pair my Apple Watch after it randomly unpaired one day, it has become stuck in an infinite loop of unpairing. I can start the pairing process and choose to update the watch os, but then it starts to unpair thus negating the entire process leaving me back to square one. I’ve already reset watch to factory settings and erased all settings. Does anyone have a solution to this issue?
