[XS-iOS 12.4] Hey Siri not responding, reset listen to Siri stuck at setting page

My gf’s iPhone XS hey Siri function was not working recently sine a month ago. But it somehow worked normally after a few days.


However, the issue occurs again today and the issue becomes even worse.


The hey Siri is not functioning at all, and my gf read some online articles and tried to reset Siri. AND THEN IT STUCK AT SETTING PAGE FOREVER. We tried every solutions we could found online. Such as

  1. reboot
  2. force reboot
  3. turn on / off airplane mode
  4. turn on / off dictation
  5. reset network settings
  6. reset all settings


Nothing is working.

Does anyone here had the same experience and knows how to fix it? Please HELP!!

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with Hey Siri. I am happy to help.


1. First, please ensure everything is set up as per this help article:Use Siri on all your Apple devices - Apple Support


2. You mention that you were not able to get past the settings page. If this is during setup, I recommend skipping the setup and trying once the device comes up.


3. It's possible the issue is cause by the network you are connected to. I recommend trying while connected to a different wireless network. You can also try by turning off Wi-Fi and testing only with your cellular connection (if possible.)



  • To turn Wi-Fi off and use your cellular connection, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, and turn the slider off. Be aware that this will use your cellular data until you turn Wi-Fi back on.
