Siri says Something went wrong. Please try again.

On an iPhone 11 Pro running 14.8.1, suddenly every time I try to ask Siri for something, she says some variation of: One sec... Working on it... Something went wrong... Please try again.

"Hey Siri" is working fine, that is she responds to the prompt. But then she tries to answer and I get the message above.

I've restarted the phone. Tried wifi only. Tried cell only. But no change.

Any suggestions?

Update your iPhone:

To fix bugs, update your iPhone.

Go Here: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

IMPORTANT: If you have an option to update, however, then be certain you backup your iPhone first. That way, you will have something to restore your iPhone from should anything go wrong with the update. So, instal the update, and if these issue come about, then recover from this backup you've just made.

"It says my software is up to date. 15 is an optional upgrade."

Perform the Following:

I. Provide Apple Feedback:

Do your Part. Seeing similar posts, this seems to be a common issue. Hence, most certainly a bug. So, inform Apple of this bug - Apple won't get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what bugs are occurring and what needs to be fixed.

How to Give Feedback:

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for "Feedback Type"
  3. Inform Apple: of how you came across this issue, and how you've troubleshot it thus far.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary

II. Troubleshoot Siri:

Siri says Something went wrong. Please try again.
