Piano Roll - Logic Pro Problem

Hi, everybody.

I have a problem with the "Piano Roll" function on Logic Pro X.

If I open the Piano Roll function through the "Siccors" button it doesn't work, no sound comes from it.

If I open the Piano Roll function through "Command 4" (If I remember correctly) it works perfect.

Does anybody know why this happens?

Software Instruments Sound Completely Different in Logic I've been playing in Keyscape and Omnisphere and decided to lay something down in Logic, but when I load a software instrument track, the sound of the instrument sounds drastically different (awful) than it did playing natively in the Keyscape app. This is with a new logic file, and I haven't made any changes to logic that I am aware of (I've only recently installed it). What could be causing this? Outside of Logic, the pianos in Keyscape sound wonderful, but inside it's a whole other story.

Piano roll not working Aloha from Honolulu, It used to be that if I opened, say, a piano MIDI track in the PIANO ROLL, I could select three notes that make a chord and hear the chord, in addition to having LProX identify the chord. Now, LProX identifies the chord, but there's no sound. Similarly, I could "play" the vertical piano at the left of the piano roll and here notes. Now, silence. That said, if I play my song, the the MIDI track plays fine: I can hear all the chords. Something tells me I've clicked / turned-off something accidentally... and I don't know what it is. Similar concerns in the forum are from many years ago. Any thoughts? I can keep keep going as is, but it's super helpful to be able to select-play notes in the piano roll. Mahalo! Cat

Q-sampler not loading instruments When I open up a prior session - sometimes my Q-Sampler won't play. Sound still runs through it if i click the small play button in the sampler and also when i press buttons on my keyboard, but it wont register midi events in the piano roll. If i click on the keys in piano roll no sound comes out and if i click in notes with a mouse no sound comes out. Not all instances of q-sampler within a session will do this. Any ideas?

Are you sure the MIDI out button is activated?
