restoring iphone but cannot connect to usb

hello, I have an old iphone 7+ that i forgot the password to, and I am trying to restore it on my laptop but it keeps saying "unlock iphone to use accessories" and will not connect to my computer. Is there a way that I can still restore the phone? thank you so much
