My email no longer displays delete function only archive
Go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts > email account name > Account > Advanced and change 'Move Discarded Messages Into'

If it ends up that your settings are correct but things still aren’t working correctly bear in mind that Yahoo has been ‘encouraging’ its users to migrate to their app for quite some time now. I also use yahoo for my mail and have dealt with many quirky things happening as they mess with things behind the scenes.

Can you tell me why I no longer receive email notifications on my iPad. I have to go into my emails for them to appear
Do you have Settings > Mail > Notifications 'on' ?
