SIM card contacts won’t import to my iPhone.

Hello. My SIM card contacts won’t import to my iPhone. I click import but nothing happens. I checked my SIM card on another phone and the contacts did show up. I use iPhone 5. Any suggestions?

This doesn’t make any sense. The article clearly states you can import contacts from a SIM card into the iPhone and then there is a statement at the end that says the SIM holds no contacts. In reading an article on Apple support about “how to import contacts from a SIM card onto the iPhone” and article explains how to do this, there is a statement at the very end of the article that says the SIM for iPhone stores no contacts. I don’t get it.

Can I export contacts from my iPhone onto my SIM Card? Like the title says, I want to export iphone contacts onto a sim card. The reason I need to export contacts on my sim card is because I'm going to be using a dumb phone (ZTE 431 if you were wondering) this coming year and its nearly a decade old, so there aren't any contact transferring options except through the sim card. Any help would be appreciated. The ultimate goal is to get iPhone contacts onto ZTE 431 phone. Thanks in advance
