My old MacBook is not working, but my new MacBook will not allow me to access my existing User ID as it does not recognize the new MacBook. How do you resolve this? Thanks.

I can't say I have seen this behavior before. If the account is a local account (not your Apple ID), then it should not require any further authentication. Can you send images of what you're seeing? You'll likely have to take the photos with your phone because you can't get into your computer
No. The previous MacBook was turned OFF. The user account was created with this MacBook and I believe is connected as well to my iPhone. When I attempt to use my user name on the new MacBook, it responds with a statement that it does not recognize the new MacBook and therefore prevents me from signing in. How to resolve? Thanks.
Were you logged into your previous Macbook with your Apple ID as the user account, or was it a locally created account on that computer only?
