Image Capture won't import from iPhone X. Error msg: -9937

HI

Newer MBP in shop. Using 2010 MBP (Yosemite 10.10.5).

Yesterday I could import from iPhone X to Image Capture in the MBP.

Today I can't.

Any ideas why not or what to do?

A mid 2010 MBP will run High Sierra.

How to get macOS High Sierra

To check the model number hold down the option/alt key, go to the Apple menu and select System Information.

macOS 10.12/10.13 (Sierra/High Sierra) requires one of the following Macs:

MacBook Pro (Mid 2010 or later)  Model 6.2 and higher

To check applications compatibility.

Application Compatibility

You can keep the partition you have and create a new one by booting into the Recovery Partition to add the new partition. Boot normally, download High Sierra (if compatible), and in the installer, select the new partition as the install location.

I don't know about HEVC.

Thanks for the reply.

Good suggestion, didn’t work, sadly.

I’m considering upgrading but would like to keep a partition of Yosemite.

First, what is the last os to work w FCS2, especially FCP7? Sierra?

What is the first OS to recognize HEVC (that’s the video files, rt)? High Sierra?

Will a 2010 15” MBP upgrade to High Sierra or even Mojave?

How cud I upgrade but keep a partition of Yosemite? Or maybe it would be better to create a partition of the upgrade.

Can an I get a stand-alone of the upgrade OS?

Btw, just to be sure: Won’t installing a new OS on a partition also install all the apps like Photos, iTunes, GarageBand; and I’ll b able to download and install my purchased apps like FCPX, Compressor and Motion?

If not, how to get them?

i was thinking I might first do a reinstall of Yosemite. It’s been acting a little odd since trying a bunch of things to connect to my iPhone.
