I installed IOS 12.4 (on my 6S phone) and my phone started acting buggy. It randomly opened aps I didn't tap, it offers to make emergency calls when I'm trying to put in my password. The touch screen doesn't respond wihtout long delays, so now it takes. 10-15 times longer to use basic functions (like making a call, texting, or opening an ap). It's infuriatingly slow. Can I downgrade to the old software?

have the same phone same version have no problems at all
so it's not a general issue
as stated if it was me then I would restore it to factory settings(and not restore some backup afterwards) and see if it still does it
if so it was a corruption of your configuration rather then a general issue
No downgrading isn't supported by Apple.
Basic troublshooting:
Restart, Reset, Restore from backup, or Restore as new.
Sounds like you have a hardware issue, a short in your digitizer. If you have tried a reset and you still have the phone randomly registering touches on the screen without you touching it, it is a hardware fault.
Thanks. I'm transferring to an older phone so I an send this in for repair/replacement. So odd the hardware problem started the same day as the software update. I assumed it must be the update. I've had dissatisfaction with updates in the past, so sort of expected problems with the new one. I appreciate your advice.
Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately this didn't fix it. The problem seems bigger than software.
