Hello ronmul1960,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that you're prompted on your iPhone to take calls from your iPad. You've come to the right place. I'm happy help.

It's possible that iPad is able to receive calls using the iPhone Cellular Calls feature on your iPhone. This feature can be disabled on your iPhone in Settings > Phone > Calls on Other Devices, then turn off Allow Calls on Other Devices. Take a look at the following resource for more information:

Make and receive calls on your Mac, iPad, or iPod touch

Let us know the results. Please include any other troubleshooting steps you may have tried.

Have a great day!

ronmul1960,

Thank you for following up. If the issue is still occurring, we recommend reinstalling iOS with iTunes. This step can resolve possible software issues. When reinstalling iOS, iTunes will completely remove your current software and install a fresh version. Make sure you have a recent backup before trying this step.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Use the steps in the link below to reinstall iOS with iTunes:

If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
